This course is perfect for NCSP patrollers!!

If you have ever had any interest in joining the National Ski Patrol, and you live in Central New Jersey or Eastern Pennsylvania, there is the perfect opportunity to get on the patrol for next ski season. All that is required is intermediate or better skiing ability and an interest or prior background in first aid.

The National Ski Patrol Outdoor Emergency Care Course (OEC) will start Monday, September 12th and continue every Monday night, 7 -10 pm, at the ESC School (Route 179, 2 miles north of Lambertville NJ - across the Delaware from New Hope).

The OEC is an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) level course consisting of approximately 70 hours of training. After completion of the OEC Course, a Candidate Patroller will continue training on skis at one of the local ski areas with a final evaluation certifying their completed NSP patroller status.

This course prepares skiers for both Nordic (Cross Country) and Alpine Ski Patrol certifications. The Delaware Valley Ski Patrol is primarily a Nordic Patrol. You do not have to complete your ski training in the same year as the OEC. Many patrollers take 2-3 years to complete all of the requirements. This is the only NSP OEC course taught in this area on a week night.

This course is conducted by the Delaware Valley Ski Patrol (Formerly Belle Mountain Ski Patrol, Lambertville NJ).
